Gwinnett Drugs pharmacists understand that remembering to take a single medication is difficult. Correctly taking multiple medications over the course of a single day can be even harder.
One way we can help is by offering free customized packaging that separates your medications into pouches or bubbles. This will help easily identify which medications to take and at what time. Each package will include all of your prescriptions for a 30 day period.
If you would like customized packaging and delivery to an assisted-living facility, please call and speak with a pharmacy staff member.
Personal Delivery Services
Our delivery services offer patients and caregivers a direct line of communication to our pharmacy and other important healthcare resources. Gwinnett Drugs provides free delivery to patients in the Lawrenceville area.

Compounding
Compounding provides an innovative way for pharmacists to customize medications to fit the needs of their patients. The art of compounding utilizes modern medicine techniques while still holding true to the pharmacist profession.
Compounding pharmacies can produce unique dosage forms based on patient preferences and/or restrictions. Examples include dye-free, preservative-free, alcohol-free, and/or sugar-free forms of medications. Many compounds are specialized medication combinations or compounded in other forms that are not otherwise commercially available.
Compounding requires a relationship between the patient, physician and pharmacist. If there is not a current or available treatment that fits your unique needs, we will work together to provide an alternative treatment option best fit for you.
Chronic Care Management
Beginning January 1, 2015, the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) reimburses qualified providers for Chronic Care Management (CCM) services for Medicare beneficiaries with two or more chronic health conditions. Pharmacists can participate in CCM as clinical staff, with their services being billed incident to by a qualified provider. CCM services include five core activities:
- Recording structured data in the patient’s health record;
- Maintaining a comprehensive care plan for each patient;
- Providing 24/7 access to care;
- Comprehensive care management; and
- Transitional care management.
